David Coleman, Jr. departed this life on June 18, 2017.  He was born on June 12, 1924 in Logan, West Virginia to the late David Coleman, Sr. and Pinkie Grigsby.

He professed a hope in Christ at an early age.  He was a member of First Baptist North, Indianapolis, IN.

David was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Dorothy Elizabeth Coleman on December 26, 1946.  They were married for over 56 years.

David was a patriarch of the family.  He was a loving, caring, and devoted father brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He leaves to cherish in his loving memory, daughter; Debora Coleman, sister; Mary Parks, brothers, Paul Coleman and Bobby Coleman; grandchildren, Elizabeth Coleman, Shelly Coleman, Rufus Quinn Jr., and Jamaal Quinn, Sr.; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
